Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture, Undyed Braided, Size 2-0, 36" is a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture designed to provide effective wound closure while reducing the risk of infection. The suture is composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of glycolide and lactide, which ensures reliable tensile strength and predictable absorption. It is coated to enhance smooth passage through tissue and minimize tissue drag.

The antibacterial property of this suture is achieved through the incorporation of Irgacare MP (triclosan), an agent proven to create a zone of inhibition against common surgical site pathogens, including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA, and MRSE. This feature reduces bacterial colonization at the wound site, lowering the risk of postoperative infections.

Equipped with a CT (Taper Point) needle, this suture is designed for use in soft tissue approximation, including general surgery, gynecologic procedures, and gastrointestinal surgery. The needle's taper point ensures smooth penetration with minimal tissue trauma, making it particularly useful in delicate tissues that require precise handling.
