Description

Suture, 1 8-27 CTD VICRYL™ UND BR CT-1 is a sterile, synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of glycolide and lactide. It features a braided structure coated with a blend of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate to enhance handling, minimize tissue drag, and improve knot performance.

This suture is used for general soft tissue approximation and ligation in surgical procedures. The 1 size delivers moderate tensile strength, making it suitable for muscle closure, fascia repair, and gynecologic or general surgery. Its absorbable nature eliminates the need for postoperative removal, providing reliable support during the wound healing process.

The attached CT-1 needle is a 36 mm taper point needle with a 1/2 circle curvature, engineered for smooth penetration through soft tissues. It allows for atraumatic passage through fascia and subcutaneous layers. Each unit includes eight 27-inch strands, allowing extended reach for deeper or multi-layer wound closures.
