The spiral design enables smooth passage through tissue, distributing tension evenly along the wound and reducing localized stress. This unique configuration promotes consistent wound closure and optimal healing.

The suture is composed of polydioxanone (PDO), a synthetic absorbable material known for its prolonged tensile strength and predictable absorption profile. It maintains strength to support tissue during critical healing phases, typically lasting up to several weeks. Complete absorption occurs within approximately 180 days through hydrolysis, minimizing long-term foreign body presence.

Equipped with CT-1 needles at both ends, the device facilitates precise placement in a range of surgical procedures. The curved taper-cut needles are engineered to penetrate tough and dense tissue with minimal trauma. The double-armed configuration improves surgical efficiency by allowing simultaneous suturing from both ends.
